Chairman of the Rivers State Social Rehabilitation Committee, Chief Albert K Horsfall has said that the greatest challenges facing Rivers State and the entire Nigeria nation is how to put the dreams of the founding fathers into reality.

Chief Horsfall made the assertion Thursday at The Tide Roundtable, a weekly personality interview programme of The Tide newspaper, Port Harcourt.

He said that this hopeless situation has made people like him to keep moving from place to place in the service with a view to transforming the state.

Chief Horsfall also lamented the rate tribalism has eaten deep into the fabric of Rivers  society, maintaining that before now the question of where one come from has never been the issue of the day.

He emphasised that time has come for the people of the state to de-emphasis tribalism and focus on the development of the state.

Today, we still talk about Ikwerre, Kalabari, Ogoni, this should never be the issue of the day, he said.

Chief Horsfall, who is the chairman of the Rivers State Social Rehabilitation Committee also said that time has come to re-orientate Rivers  youths on the need to see that there is dignity in labour.

He also said that it behoves the media to expose those who laid the foundation of the present crisis in the state as doing so will act as a deterrent to others.
