292

The Edo State House of Assembly last Monday summoned the management of Rongtai Aluminum company to appear before it today.
The summons followed the refusal of the company’s management to honour an earlier invitation by an ad-hoc committee, to proffer solutions to issues generated in a petition against it by a staff of the company.
The summons was also sequel to the consideration of a preliminary report by the committee of the whole House on the ill treatment of a staff of Rongtai Aluminum company, as contained in a petition titled: “A Case of serious ill treatment, acts of threat to life, abandonment, neglect and oppression of one Ebebe Ukala by Rongtai Aluminum Nigeria Ltd’’.
The motion to dissolve the house into a committee of the whole was moved by Mr Foly Ogedengbe, member representing (APC Owan East), and seconded by Mr Henry Okhurabo, member representing (APC Ikpoba-Okha).
