Forum Charges Rivers People To Vote Out Bad Leaders

Officials of National Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), distributing voters cards to the people of Imiringi Town in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, recently.

The Forum of Community Development Committees in Rivers State has urged the people of the state to use their permanent voters card to vote out bad government in the country.
The Coordinator General, United Community Development Committees (UCDC) Mr John Onwubualili, who said this at a town hall meeting in Ataba headquarters of Andoni Local Government Area said that those who refused to fulfil their campaign promises to Nigerians must be shown the way out.
Onwubualili also said that those who demarketed Rivers State were enemies of the people stressing that Rivers people, must rise up against persons who paint the state black, before the rest of the world.
He described Andoni as a home of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stressing that the people have benefitted so much from Governor Wike in areas of appointments and projects.
The UCDC Coordinator-General also told the people of Andoni to protect their votes during the elections, stressing that they must resist any attempt by the security agencies and the opposition to rig the election.
Earlier at a meeting with the Ataba Clan Council of Chiefs, Onwubualili stressed the need for the Chiefs to collaborate with the security agencies to ensure a free and fair elections.
He said the town hall meeting was part of the on-going state wide campaign to galvanise support for the re-election of Governor Nyesom Wike and other candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Responding, the Chairman of the Ataba Clan Council of Chiefs, Chief Dandeson Ituk, said the Chiefs were working hard to ensure a free and fair elections.
