Elechi Amadi Poly Plans Confab On Environment


The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, Captain Elechi Amadi chapter says the 2018 Annual Conference of the institution will begin on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 and end Friday, 7, 2018.
The theme of the four-day conference is “Environmental Sustainability in Nigeria: Challenges and Prospects” and has other 31 sub-themes.
A programme of events as released by the organisers and signed by the chairman, Central Organizing Committee, Dr. C. Y. Chuku and the secretary, Dr. M. Elechi indicates that the programme would hold at the Polytechnic’s Conference hall each day, adding that Tuesday, September 4, 2018 would be the arrival/registration date, while the opening ceremony and key note/lead paper presentations would take place on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.
According to the statement, Prof. Ibibia Lucky Paul-Worika, Dean of Law, University of Port Harcourt will be the keynote speaker, while Prof. Kyrian Ayiba Otong, Head of Department, Philosophy, University of Calabar would present the lead paper for the conference on Wednesday, 5th September, 2018.
The statement further urged participants who wish to make presentations to submit well-researched papers of not more than 15 pages including abstracts of not more than 250 words using 12 point font size on Times New Romans with title, name(s) affiliate institution(s), contact phone number and email address on the front page.
It further said all paper must be submitted online via Microsoft attachment to: ceap.asupconference@gmail.com, while a hard copy and CD or flash drive should be forwarded to Dr. C. Y. Chuku or Dr. M. Elechi, adding that each participant can only submit and present a maximum of two papers.
The statement however, disclosed that Dr. Moses T. Bakpo, AsuP Chairman of hte institution will be the host, while Dr. Samuel B. Kalagbor, Rector of hte polytechnic will be the chief host.
