Commissioner Advises Ministry Staff On Harmonious Working Relationship
The Commissioner of Local Government Affairs, Hon. Sam Eyiba has enjoined staff of the Ministry to sustain a healthy working relationship.
The Commissioner who said this at the formal welcome of the new Permanent Secretary, Dr Justina Jumbo said the harmonious work environment will definitely produce good fruits as it has done else.
Urging the Permanent Secretary to bring her experience to bear on her new job, Hon. Eyiba admitted that the introduction of the Permanent Secretary to the staff was long over due and blamed the delay on that crowded activities in his office.
He said the civil service as a system has problems that could only be solve when properly identified and called for regular meeting of staff to deliberate on issues affecting the Ministry.
The Permanent Secretary, Dr Justina Jumbo said she had come to do her job and ask for cooperation among the staff.
Dr Jumbo enjoined the staff to improve on their attitude to work and should also internalise the habit of respect for seniors in the office as it is explicit in the Civil Service rules and regulations.
The Director Administration of the Ministry, Mr Opukbo Ogagi pledged the cooperation of the staff to the Permanent Secretary so that the Ministry can move forward.
