‘Min Of Information, Most Consistent Performer’

Former champions of the Rivers State Public Service Football competition, a.k.a, Head of Service, HOS football Cup, Ministry of Information and Communication, has been singled out as the most consistent performer in the four year old competition.

The ministry, which has finished as winners, runner up, third and fourth place winner in the competition was yesterday commended by the HOS, Mrs Esther Anucha during the grand finale of activities marking the 2012 civil service week celebrations at the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt.

Speaking during the event, Mrs Anucha noted that remarkable achievement and urged all other ministries, department and agencies, (MDAs) to emulate them and show more interest and commitment to the competition.

She also called on the permanent Secretaries and Heads of Extra Ministerial Departments to ensure financial and moral support for their teams.

Ministry of Information and Communications finished as runners up in the maiden edition in 2009, emerged champions in 2010, finished fourth in 2011 and ended in their place in 2012.
