Transactions at the Exchange midweek showcased a snail improvement, as the market indicators of traded equities all rose slightly to close on a positive note.
All-Share Index rose by 19.23 points or 0.1 per cent, from 22,792.06 points, to close slightly higher at 22,811.39 points.
Also, the market capitalisation of traded equities gained N6 billion to close higher at N7.297 trillion from N7.290 traded by investors on Tuesday.
Investors’ 195,424,704 shares, worth N2.43 billion exchanged hands in 4,283 deals, as against 346,772,948 shares, valued at N2.07 billion, traded in 4,613 deals.
The volume of traded equities however depreciated by 151,348,244 shares or 43.7 per cent, from 346,772,948 shares, to close lower at 195,424,704 shares.
Share value on the other hand rose by 17.4 per cent or N359.93 million, from N2.07 billion traded by investors on Tuesday, to close higher at N2.43 billion.
The gainers chart was led by Julius Berger, UAC-PROP and OANDO which made 94 kobo, 59 kobo and 50 kobo gains per share, respectively.
The losers chart on the other hand paraded PZ, Okomuoil, Guiness and Dangote Sugar which lost 99 kobo, 51 kobo, 50 kobo and 40 kobo per share, respectively.
Although the capital market fluctuate in its transactions at the present, financial experts still see this period as the best opportunity to invest.
