Market capitalisation at the Nigeria Stock Exchange gained N28 billion at the end of transaction Friday to bring about marginal increase that ended the week on a positive note.
Market capitalisation closed at N8.080 trillion, from N8.052 trillion traded by investors on Thursday.
All-Share Index (ASI) also closed higher at 25,271.61 points, adding 86.34 points or 0.34 per cent to 25,185.27 points that closed transactions on Thursday.
However, the volume of traded equities lost 48.4 per cent or 229,697,942 shares from 474,146,455 shares traded on Thursday, to close lower at 244,448,513 shares.
The value of shares also depreciated by 30.3 per cent or N660.35 million, from N2.18 billion, to close lower at N1.52 billion. PZ, Dangote Flour, Guaranty Trust Bank and NAHCO were the first four on the gainers table, after making N1.80, 50 kobo, 49 kobo and 38 kobo gains per share, respectively.
On the other hand, Mobil led the losers table after losing N5.00 per share, followed by NNFM, SCOA and NACON , which lost N1.46, 37 kobo and 28 kobo per share, respectively.
Meanwhile, the performance of traded equities in the Exchange did not fair well within last week, even though there was marginal improvement on Wednesday and Friday.
